Ok, let’s me rephrase this a little bit

A lot of changes are going on to CAT at the moment and you we have been working so hard to fix the CAT structure and to revive the CAT to get its glory back and to establish a system that allows everybody to work together in a productive way to help the members and our community.

Let me tell you our part of the story. We are moving from being a separate foundation to be the programming team of CAT and our management team will be merged with CAT core, so CAT is now one single body again, no more foundations, only teams.

Thus, we will be moving our online systems to be unified, CAT now have a spectacular task management system, content management system, and a discussion board that is being installed at the moment. All old CAT websites will be deprecated, some of the websites will remain there (H4ck3rZ Forum) to act like archives and some will be immediately removed (like H4ck3rZ Network).

So, I’m sorry to announce that we are closing the H4ck3rZ Network and for all members who have blogs hosted on the network; you can backup your posts and move them to any other wordpress-based webblog. We will give you 2 weeks as a grace period.

We are thrilled to launch the beta of our new H4ck3rZ Network website (http://n.cat-hackers.net), we have been working for quite sometime to get everything together to make sure that we are building a scalable infrastructure.

We are proud of our new infrastructure, as we are engineers, we had to make sure that we don’t fall into the same problems that we and other fallen into, Thus, we have created a single H4ck3rZ identity server that we use to connect all of our online systems to, so starting from today you will be able to login to all H4ck3rZ websites and online systems using the same account and your information will propagate through all of our systems. We even designed SCMP to be integrated with our single H4ck3rZ identity system that is based on international standards.

We have been quite for sometime changing our management system to a new agile management system, we also exercised the new management system while building the new website and we kept things in low-profile until we release this site.

In this week we are celebrating  a lot  of things, our new beta website, the first real activity of the new management team, the H4ck3rZ Duo event.

We hope you enjoy the website as much as we do. H4ck3rZ are going into social networking web-enabled system and this beta is just the start.

As the H4ck3rZ new management revolution started, our vision was realigned and we started to focus more on hands-on work and the high technical expertise, thus, we started working on our development projects like CAT-SCMP (CAT Simplified/Scalable Community Messaging Platform) with slow but steady steps and more engineers became interested by time, more output is being generated everyday and, we become more interested everyday.

We proved that we are on the right track, we keep the most important things ahead of our eyes and we keep the work rate steady and that’s the most important part for me,  because it’s very easy to get peaks of people joining the team and starting to shout and yelling of excitement but it’s quite a challenge to keep that pace.

SCMP is just the begninning and by time we will incorporate new projects and new ideas, we will incubate those projects and provide the full technical support and management guidance to them, and eventually, we will have a full portfolio of expertise that we gained and a nice pack of applications and libraries that we homemade them.

Forums are silent because we are too busy working on coding, testing, meetings and, even documenting our work in our projects and because the forum is usually divided into two types of viewers, listeners and speakers, speakers are no longer speaking to the crowed without actually having something that they are busy building and listeners have only two choices, to become silent or, to make some noise and start joining our projects and ask for help.

The fact is that we are now discussing the necessity of having a forum with that huge size. most of our discussions are going through online meetings (SCRUM) and mailing lists and this way we achieve higher efficiency and we get responses from those who are really interested and capable of doing things. We still should have a forum but do we need all those branches and areas? we need some place to put tutorials and pages to help new engineers to join the force, so the question is, is the forum the best solution for that?

It’s the event that we wait for each semester, the event that gathers all of us (CAT Foundations) and sponsors to enjoy professional technical sessions that are held in the latest leading-edge technologies in IT.

IT’S THE CAT SCOPE, and it’s the 10^th one,

It’s a great feeling to witness the series of successes we had since reloading CAT, starting from CAT-Scope 3, and on next Saturday 21 March 2009 , CAT-Scope 10 will begin and — as usual — each CAT Scope has its own flavour/theme, this scope is really different , as  it’s the first scope to be held in 4 days not 3 as we used to have for the past 7 scopes, which means more work and more fun

So, it’s the largest and the most important event for the CAT, and of course for each foundation… SO CAT-H4ck3rZ will be rocking — as usual —

We have only 2 sessions in the scope, which are:

Yes, these are only 2 sessions for H4c3rZ, yet they are highly interesting ones. The first session by Ahmed Soliman will be held on Saturday @ 1 p.m. He’ll be talking about Python, how cool this programming language is, and exactly what’s so cool about it. It’ll be hands-on session with lots of coding and of course lot’s of FUN!. It’s a must-be-seen session as usual Ahmed is going to amuse us with the latest technologies in his area.
Ooh, Surprisingly, there’ll be very nice give-aways in our sessions, believe me, you don’t wanna miss it

The second session will be on Monday @ 10:30 a.m. It is an introduction to our main programming project SCMP, what is it, what’s the idea behind, everything related to the project, not only that, you’ll also get the chance to hear about our revolutionary relaunch, what were our mistakes, how did we overcome it, and what’s up for our future, nice….huh?

No matter what, YOU MUST JOIN, don’t hesitate, it’s very valuable sessions, and a not-to-miss event.
